Introduction to my 2014 :)

There just aren’t enough hours in the day at the moment. I’m fighting a daily battle of what my priorities are haha. I think this is the year that I need to undergo a manager!!!

2014 is going to be a good year, I can feel it. As you all know, I hadn’t been able to go to the gym, and over xmas I ate like a king with 6 stomachs. In fact, the whole of November and December I ate like that haha. Oh dear. January was here and it was time to start looking and feeling healthy again. I had been reading about these green smoothies which sound like they’d taste awful, but I fancied it. I’ll try anything once…well, almost anything. A smoothie maker was bought and heaps of fruit and veg. I looked like I was shopping prior to a zoo visit. Some amazing smoothies were made…and some not so amazing smoothies. I’m addicted, had one every day so far. THEN I went a step further, and bought a cross trainer…this is me trying to save money on gym membership by acquiring a gym at home haha. Luckily I already have most of the gym equipment that I need. I bought it off ebay, it was a bargain. Me and my friend went to collect it in my car, but in all honesty I wasn’t sure that it would fit. When we arrived, we got out the car, looked at the cross trainer and then looked at each other…”roof?” haha Yep, I had to drive all the way home from Rotherham (about an hour) with the roof down….in January. Well it was certainly an adventure.

So, anyway…I suppose you’re wanting to know where you can see me perform and what’s going to be included in the shows this year. Well, I was at the studio yesterday with Mikey. we spent all day planning the 2014 shows, a whole new repertoire, and some exciting new human inclusions πŸ˜‰ I’m sorting out some rehearsal dates today and then I’m going to put on a pre season show for people to come and see before my full performing season begins. You you’ll all get a first look.

It was an amazing day. 6:30am I rolled out of bed and onto the cross trainer (I put it next to my bed so that I could do this), still with my eyes half closed, my pj’s on and my sporting pretty impressive bed hair. After 3mins my legs were on fire. It was only the day before that I’d done my first yet super intense legs and bum session. I pushed through and managed 10mins before a core session, which in all honesty I had to force myself into.

I was on the road by 8:15am to Newton-Le-Willows. I forget that there’s this thing called ‘Work Traffic’. I never leave that early for a wedding (unless it’s a looooong drive) so it’s not something that I often see. I wish I lived closer to him, I’d be there all the time working my butt off. We work so much harder when we’re together.

I was so tired when we’d done (as you can see from the photo that Mikey kindly took haha) that when I got in my car to start it, I pushed the clutch in and pressed the heated seat button rather than the push start button, and just could not understand why my car wouldn’t start haha. Decided to sell my car by the way. I love it so much but I’m applying for a mortgage this year so wanting to be sensible on my spend and have a nice chunky deposit.

I’m back next Friday to do some recording πŸ™‚ can’t wait

Busy day working through a to do list which largely includes doing my books…lovely

Ps. Promise I will blog more…going to make a schedule plan today to make sure I make time to tell you all what’s going on.
